TF Talks Liability Waiver & Disclaimer
TF Talks, a program of Tyler’s Foundation, provides a space for parents, caregivers, and community members to discuss mental health, wellness, parenting, and personal experiences.
By participating in TF Talks, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
Not Medical or Mental Health Treatment
TF Talks is for educational, informational, and community-support purposes only. TF Talks does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, or other professional healthcare advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Participation does not create a therapist-client, doctor-patient, counselor-client, or other professional healthcare relationship with Tyler’s Foundation, its facilitators, speakers, volunteers, or participants.
Information and personal experiences shared during TF Talks should not replace advice or treatment from a qualified healthcare or mental health professional.
Personal Experiences and Information
Participants, facilitators, and speakers may share personal experiences, perspectives, resources, or strategies they have learned or found helpful. These experiences are individual and should not be considered professional advice or a guarantee that the same approach will be appropriate for another person.
Participants are responsible for deciding what information they choose to share and how they use information discussed during TF Talks.
Sensitive Topics
TF Talks may include conversations about mental health, grief, trauma, parenting challenges, stress, and other sensitive subjects. Participation is voluntary, and participants may choose not to answer a question, share personal information, or continue participating in a discussion.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Participants are expected to respect the privacy of others and not share another participant’s personal story or identifying information outside of TF Talks.
Because TF Talks is a group environment, Tyler’s Foundation cannot guarantee that information shared by participants will remain confidential. Participants should use their own judgment when sharing personal or sensitive information.
Participants may not record, photograph, screenshot, or distribute TF Talks discussions without permission.
Emergencies
TF Talks is not a crisis or emergency mental health service. Anyone experiencing an immediate mental health or medical emergency should contact appropriate emergency or crisis services.
Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk
I understand that discussions about mental health and personal experiences may sometimes be emotionally difficult. I voluntarily choose to participate and accept the ordinary risks associated with participating in these discussions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release Tyler’s Foundation and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, facilitators, speakers, contractors, and representatives from claims arising from my voluntary participation in TF Talks.
This waiver does not waive any rights or claims that cannot legally be waived.
